The 2022 is another delicious example of Petite Sirah, the aromas are filled with blueberry, boysenberry, pie crust, rose, and black raspberry.  On the entry the palate presents a deep core of dark fruit and bakers’ chocolate with blackberry preserves and plum rounding out the viscous midpalate.  The wine is mouth filling and finishes with chocolate covered blueberries, plum and molasses as it lingers. The 2022 Titus Lot 1 is a robust concentrated wine filled with depth and layers redolent of our favorite past Lot 1’s. The aromas are packed with blueberry, blackberry, chocolate, purple flowers and lingering leather and earth notes that give the bouquet a lifted finish. Rich and dark on entry the flavors fill the palate with cassis, dark berry compote, mocha and cherry cola with a melted down mouthcoating texture.The tannins have a pleasant grip with enough polish to help the wine glide to the finish with notes of lilac, cedar, and radiant warm toast.  Enjoy 2025-2035.
