2017 Petit Verdot

A classic expression of Petit Verdot, the 2017 Titus shows off aromas of blueberry, exotic fruit, glove leather, violets and herbs de Provence.   The wine fills the palate with robust fine grain tannins that are rounded and draw out nuances of dark berry, cherry, rose water, fruit leather and anise.  Long and voluptuous the finish is underscored by toasty pie crust, dried sage and radiant spice box notes.  Enjoy from 2022-2033.

Winemaking Notes

The 2017 Titus Petit Verdot was harvested on October 3rd, 2017.  The Petit Verdot is from the Titus Winery Ranch on Silverado Trail and the Broken Rock vineyard on Soda Canyon Rd in Southern Napa Valley.  After the fruit was recieved at the winery it was destemmed directly to tank where it was fermented for 10 days.  After fermentation the free run wine was drained from tank and racked to barrel.  This wine was aged in 70% new French Oak barrels for 20 months before being racked to tank for bottling.  This wine was racked quarterly during the first year.
