1998 Titus Cabernet Sauvignon |
The 1998 vintage was cooler, resulting in a more elegant, somewhat brooding style of Cabernet Sauvignon, built for aging. This wine is now fully rewarding those with the patience to let it age. 1350 cases produced.Notes from tasting on November 15, 2007 The 1998 Titus Cabernet Sauvignon shows its age with an orange to tawny rim and its nose has notes of leather, coffee, cassis, and plums. The juicy plum notes on the pallet are accompanied by dark cherries, herbs, leather, and smooth integrated oak leading to an elegant, dry finish with splashes of mocha and sweet caramels. As Eric went in for another glass and some more camembert, Phillip noted that the wine would benefit from some decanting but was holding together well. As a Library Selection, this wine is available exclusively to members of Titus Vineyards Wine Club. |
