 Release notes: The 1994 Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon shows intense aromas of ripe cherry and blackberry along with toasty new oak and herbs. A rich texture of tannin and body is accompanied by well-defined fruit flavors layered with hints of cedar and vanilla. 885 cases produced.Retasted August 2007: Still intense after all these years! Aromas are vibrant and complex, with layers of cassis, pomegranate, dark fruit and mint tea evolving to mature characters of tobacco smoke, brewed coffee, toffee, black olive and spicy cedar. Big, mouthfilling varietal flavors of cassis, black cherry, dark cedar, sweet maple and bittersweet chocolate lead to a long, chewy finish. This wine is a stunner now, and holds up after being open for several hours, but can still lay down for a few more years.
